Our second night out in Rio - who spiked our drinks?

True to form Kate, Andy and myself hit the club scene on second first night in Rio. We went to some little street bar for a few pre clubbing drinks. I thought they made the drinks strong here in San Francisco with the free pouring, these ones burnt the nose hairs. I should have known from that moment that we would be in trouble, especially after the three of us managed to polish off a four rial (local currency) 750ml bottle of vodka. That equates to around USD1.90 or AUD2.50. While at this street bar the weather turns and the rain starts to pour. But with a belly full of grog all three of us decided that we can still make it to the club on foot. The club we had chosen was a gay bar called Le Boy. We get there drenched to the core and then to find out the cover charge for men was 15 rial and for Kate because she is a she had to pay 30 rial. But of course we paid it thinking that it going to be packed inside. Well it wasn't and we were about the only ones there. But it didn't worry us and we took full advantage and ran a muck. Kate was trying to pick up the bar staff and had fallen in love with one in particular. Kate and I both kept making goo goo eyes at the go go boy dancing on the bar. By the time the bar closed Kate and I were so far gone it mustn't have been pretty. Neither of us remember half the night and only have the photos to show for it. In fact none of us remember any of the photos being taken. Not a safe thing to do in a unfamiliar town. Needless to say there were some very ill people the next day.
